2009 Mileage

So how many miles did you clock up in 2009? I did a total of 3,459 miles, of which 3,279 miles were on the road and 180 miles were on the turbo (mostly in the last 3 weeks!).

962 miles were ridden on the fixed wheel,

752 miles on the winter bike, and

1745 miles were on the Airbourne.

I rode 950 miles further in 2009 than my previous best year. Overall I am very pleased but would have loved to have broken through 3500 miles barrier, but this was scuppered by the weather in the last three weeks.

900ish on my cross bike, 300ish saracen, 200ish trek, 150ish on the brandx and about 100 on the virago most ive ridden for years and ive still put on weight!!!! 😥

I never keep accurate records and to complicate things I started ignoring distance and concentrating on time on the bike when my new training regime started in September.

But I’ve done a quick tally up using my Garmin and my Polar and I reckon I did over 10,000 miles. That includes a bit of turbo work. My best week was 450 miles.

A very pleasing 5,411 miles this year, I haven’t counted any time spent on the turbo, these are just pure road/MTB miles.

Would have been quite a few more if it hadn’t been for the poor weather over the recent few weeks as I’ve had the time to ride. 🙄

Excellent going Gunner. I might actually log mine this year to see what I get. I’d like to do 12,000 miles. Average mileage for a car 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
