Yea the Mrs went in there today and got a top for herself, a couple of pairs of cycle socks each, and a mini pump for me as a spare for the backpack. She was going to get a pair of shoes for herself but the smallest they do is a 4 and even this was too big for her (she normally takes a 3.5 – 4) 🙁

Great value and good quality though!

The shoes are good, as well. Their size 43 comes up slightly bigger than my Shimano MT31 size 44 – I know that the Shimano one is incorrect.

BTW, I did read on another forum that the Lidl ones have the chopped SPD bit too high, so that the SPD pleat is slightly proud but TBH, I haven’t found this at all! When walking, the rubber soles touch the floor perfectly and there’s no question of ‘Look Cleat Slide’ syndrome.

Certainly worth a lot more that they ask (about £18.58, IIRC)

I pretty much bought one of everything from the cycling bit, plus some tools, and some other bits and pieces… i’d never been in there before!

Incidentally, i just bought a nice pair of Shimano M424 SPD Pedals

So if i just wanna pop out in my trainers or something, i don’t have to worry about changing my shoes… will be trying them out at Delamere tomorrow!

You want to keep your eyes open for the Aldi cycling sales then as well, they do some very similiar kit.

Their long sleeve winter cycling tops are great, really warm, and they do a fantastic spd/normal pedal, very cheap but ultra reliable, I have them on my winter training bike.
