as in all in 1, shorts and top

i no time trailers use them so why not road racers, well some do but hardly any (also allot of cross racers do) nicole cook was this year when she won the olympic road race also Rob Hayles uses 1

    any one ever worn 1, i fancy giving 1 a try…

Road racers don’t tend to as they need the pockets and the ability to go to the toilet rather than just wetting themselves (which is a real option when your in a position to win ;0)

Short races they are much more suited.

The main problem I can see with them other than peoples bellys is if you have a crash on the road you’ll be getting cut out of a quite expensive piece of clothing.

Bet you got some funny looks in Tesco, most people just wear them on the bike. 😉

No Hugo, I got away with it – usually wore a fur coat and ankle-length kilt over it for shopping ❗ 😉 😛

Yes, I’ve ridden MTB races years ago in one.

Plus, I worn one for Cyclo-Cross in 2007 (my comeback year)

Sadly though, the club colours changed, so it’s not possible to wear it now (& the new design isn’t available as a skin-suit)

Skinsuits are generally used for max. aerodynamic advantage where it counts, like time trials and track events. I can’t really see much of an advantage in cross or road, TBH.

There isn’t, but you’ll find quite a few cross riders wearing them (who need pockets in a cross – apart from on the ‘Three Peaks’?)

It’s just less material to snag on tree-branches.

Yup, I suppose that also it’s more difficult to do a bit of Sean Kelly ‘shirt grabbing’ in the sprint, as well! 😉 😛

some still have pockets, or some lads just sow them in 😉

it’s also only one thing to wsh after the cross 😉
