Well, todays ride was just so much fun. 😀 😀

Home from work at 1200 and out on the bike by 1210. Brilliant 😉

Set off on the OCR from the Sporting Lodge into a what seemed to be a relatively brisk wind, hadn’t reckoned on that looking at the weather.

But that didn’t hold me back, I was in great form even after 2 days good hilly riding steaming into the wind at about a constant 19 mph.

Powering through Rudbyand onto WelburyI was in great form, down on the bars and in the big ring still grinding into the wind, then turning for Appleton Wiske I had the wind at my tail, and was absolutely flying.

This was barely legal surely, and without a helmet. The roads were fantastic, superb short climbs, tight bends one after the other and a few sweeping corners……… 😀

    This was cycling Heaven.

Up to Picton, onto Yarm top and then over to Seamer via Foxton Bridge and back to the Sporting Lodge.

    Absolutely superb ride….. 8) 8)

    That’s impressive in March. 😛

It’s good for me lately. The last 2 weeks has left me feeling a little off form, don’t know why, but after Sundays Forum MTB Ride, which saw us cover a lot of climbing I’m left feeling raring to go. 😛 😛

I like those roads round Picton, Appleton Wiske and Welbury. No real hills and good for getting a bit of speed up.

It’s funny how a bit of warm weather makes you ride faster.

I think it looked warmer than it probably was.

I was in long bottoms, long sleeve jersey with thermal vest, and very light gloves, and was just right.

i was in shorts, and light long sleeved jersey, and no gloves today…

felt just fine for all of the 4 hours… apart from going down crawly side bank, brrrr, i should of put a newspaper down my chest like in the tour 😆

was funny as i road past a school at the end of there day, they were all shouting , look its bloody chris hoy 😆 😆

i think they think everyone on a bike is either lance or chris 😉 😆

Next time I see Lance Armstrong, I’ll ask ….

‘Can I please have your autograph, Mr Martin?’ 😉 😛
