Best time to ride…………

It’s almost midweek, nearly Easter, the weather is pretty crappy, so let’s entertain ourselves with a little poll………….. 🙂

Question is, when do you prefer to ride, as opposed to when are you able to ride.

I’m pretty much open to ride any day, but I’ve got to admit I much prefer to ride, off-road at least, on a weekday. 😕 😕

Reason is that the trails are so much quiter, not just bikes but walkers as well, although to be honest, it shouldn’t make that much difference as most of you know from the Forum Rides we do that I generally like to ride in places where you don’t tend to see other riders or walkers.

I know Keith (Gouldy) had been to Dalby midweek recently and said that it was great and that he had the place almost to himself……… 😯

So, what do you prefer, and why ❓

Weekdays definately, Sundays can be a nightmare as every townie and his dog wants to go for a walk in the woods.

Gives you chance to ride all them cheeky bits of footpath that make excellent singletrack without getting too much hastle fom people.

I’d say weekdays too – except I mostly ride nights or weekends! There’s nothing nicer than riding out during the week and having trails to yourself.

i like riding the mtb weekends, as there’s more people there…

we like to chase after people up the hills and leave them for dead on the single track 😛

on the road im not bothered…

and i dont care what day it is if im going on the rollers 😀

Agreed weekdays are nicer around here. The local Pilgrims Way / North Downs way has armies of walkers walking it 3 abreast (usually with dogs without leads 🙄 ) at the weekend. Weekends are better if you want to pose though, eh Marty 😉

I’d say now, or anytime I can get out for just an hour or so.

They are the best rides when I try and cram every best bit I can in.

As I work shifts, I can’t be too fussy about when I ride,

Just get yourself out when you can and try not to be too anoyed at other people enjoying themselves!! 😀 😉

Weekdays without a doubt i,m lucky in a way that i work the shifts that i want to.Plus trail centres are better weekdays too, for weekends it has to be a early start like on the forum rides 😉
