Hi guyes i’m new to the forum just want some technical help

only had the bike for 1 month now but the lock out button doesnt work i have taken it back to the shop and the engineer tells me the forks need replacement.

i then replyed with well they will only work for a month then, so i asked if i could upgrde the forks.

i am looking for a fork around £150 as an upgrade becaus he said he will discount the price of the fork from the new ones.

what fork do you recon would be best.

i do a 6mile round trip on cycle pathes to work some times but i also go on gental trails.

i am wanting at least 100mm travel but a higher quality fork please wb thanks

    Hang on, I am missing something here, I’m sure……. 😕 😕

    It’s an 09 bike.

You’ve had it a month…………from new or second hand????

The forks are broken and they are having to be replaced/upgraded at a cost of approx £150…………. 😕 😕

Gunner, my reading is that the new forks would cost £150 more than the fooked originals and as such, Mark would get full credit of (say) £200 for the fooked units and thus pay another £150 to get a £350 better pair.

    Apologies if I’m wrong. 😳

apparently the forks are only worth £80 i would get a credit for the forks but would have to pay the out sanding balance for the upgrade.

what do you advise to do in this situation upgrade the forks to a a better pair or leave the standard on and hope the next pair are better.

i think an upgrade sounds good maybe a set of bommers???

    what would u guys reommend
