Received this months copy of C+ through the post today. Was pleasantly surprised to find a free buff with it. Not sure if this is only for subscribers, but think it is due in the shops on Friday so might be worth a look.

Pretty sure it’s for everyone Steve.

On the subject of C+ I read mine in less than an hour from cover to cover. I think it’s total rubbish these days. The standard of writing in appalling and if I see another picture of that fat knacker with a beard on a bike I’ll scream.

    The gift is excellent though

I used to subscribe to Cycling Plus, but it was getting a bit bland. Being a mainly cycle tourist, never was a racer. I found that C+ was too much racey and too little on touring. Guess you can’t please everyone, I get the Cycle mag on my CTC membership.

Well there’s certainly nothing racy in it either

Yes, after seeing this Thread I popped over to Tescos and picked up a copy of the Mag, must say it’s not a bad “Buff” for free, I’m certainly pleased with it. 😀 😀

Got mine from Asda, I was a bit doubtful about paying £3.99. Thinking it’s probably rubbish, but hey, it is not bad for free. I was paying £12 for the original Buff.

But, I like the design on the Cycling Plus, the other months there was a free allen key set, ok for nowt as a stand-by set.

I’m confused. Wasn’t the £3.99 the cost of the magazine?

i bought C+ all through 2008 and into 2009 but then i realised that they were just repeating stuff year on year. so now i have a sneakey look in the shop and if i think there is something new and interesting then ill buy it. Missed the free buff though.

i prefer Cycle active these days …more kit reviewed, more fitness stuff, more interesting articles.
