    Hi Guys

Im kinda new to this, but have just got myself a GT 2012 Avalanche 4.0.

Everything is fine apart from the rear brake. It seems to be rubbing a little, but not squeeking.

Is this normal at first? Or do i need to do something?

    Hi mate

Is it rubbing all of the time? Or is it on and off as the wheel spins??

If on and off as the wheel spins, then you may have a warped disc, that’s no problem just needs bending back to suit!!

If rubbing all the time you have either a piston that is not fully retracted or a mis alined calliper!

First of all I would check that the pistons are fully retracted into the housing??? Are they both in the same position ( level with the calliper )???

If yes then then you will need to realine your calliper !!

If no then assuming the brakes are in a good clean condition you may need to bleed them!!!!
