Im i need of changing my pads/discs for something better, I have the shimano deore BR-M555 Hydro set up with what seem to be std shimano discs.

They have been fine for my trail rides and Llandegla forrest runs but recently had a long steep downhill ride and noticed the pads/disc smoking due to high heat when i stopped.

I want something that will feel sharp and quite light on the finger unlike my current pads “bought the whole set up used” so not sure what pads are in or condition yet.

What’s the advantage of ceramic? will i get better response if i fit an adaptor to fit 203mm discs?…….currently 180mm

My only down side is cost!

    Any info appreciated.

Ps, sorry for not being on here for some time, bin busy!!!
