We all know it goes on in the pro ranks on a daily basis but I’ve often wondered whether the top amateurs are on the sauce. Well now I know.

I’ve just found out that a lad I know (I used to compete against him at top level in another sport) has tested positive for EPO and steroids. He’s admitted to british Cycling that he’s been using since 2001.

I’m not entirely surprised as he’s a little sh1t but I’m appalled that he’s such a low-life cheating scum bag.

Worst of all is that he’s beaten mates of mine in competitions. How bad is that, knowing you’ve missed out on a gold/silver/bronze medal because the bloke in front was using drugs.

Greg, I’ll give you the full story on Saturday. Incredible stuff.

One of the guys he bear a few years ago is gunning for him. Wouldn’t like to argue with him either

What gets me is that generally, with any form of cheating in any competition sport, the people doing it still think of themselves as ‘winners’ and ‘competition level’ sportsmen/women.

They don’t seem to get that without the drugs, they wouldn’t be half as good.
