EAT

So, what do you guys generally eat through the day, when doing a lot of miles???
Typically when training I eat quite healthily, cutting down on the lard. Today however, i’ve gone the opposite. Today so far i’ve eaten…
2 crumpets (with light Clover)
1 cheese pasty
1 tuna/sweetcorn sandwich (granary bun)
3 Fox’s Cookie bars 😯
however, 💡 in front of me are 2 bananas ….. argh! colleagues just walked in with Twix’s 😕 can’t win 😆
Go on then, gimme you typical daily intake 🙂

whatever i fancy eating…
although i do try and carb load before big national races, although its very hard to carb load propalys…
-
I always pack a banana or two when I go on a ride, and also a cereal bar.
-
when on a long winter ride say over 60 miles i take a choclate spread and peanut butter sandwhich, a energy gel ( only ever use the gel if i blow up…) and one of the fun size cans of coke which i drink at the top of the rides hardest hills…
also winter training fuel

Chocolate spread will give you plenty of calories to burn off! I don’t have anything fizzy, just plain old water does me 🙂
-
I can imagine 🙂
I tried the energy gel’s a few months ago and I don’t know if it was just a mental thing or what but they actually did the trick. 🙄
-
sometimes they ‘actualy work’ and sometimes they dont for me… but its allways a good thing mentaly…
-
Being overweight and diabetic is a small price to pay for eating anything I fancy …. racing career over and life’s too short! 😈
-
you’ve got a point…
well dont realy like the greasy taste of take away food, so its mostly whatever my mam puts on the table,
i love my breakfast tho, and thatssomething i allways concentrate on…
usualy have a big bowl of porridge or weetabix, and toast, then a bannana if theres any about…
