Failed Bottom Bracket on Voodoo Bizango
-
Hi first post 🙂
Had my Bizango just 1 month and the BB has failed. Apart from this issue, really like the bike. So I have a question for those far more knowledgeable than me please.
Standard equipment is SRAM NX with internal cartridge bottom bracket. Taken it back to Halfords and their guy agrees that the bottom bracket has failed, horrible notchy clicky feeling noise coming from it, said they have had 3 do this and upgraded them with an external BB
So we have sort of agreed on a Shimano MT800 with an SLX-M7000 Crank and SLX-M7000 11 speed chain ring. They originally suggested a Shimano FC-MT610 Crankset, but I said I would prefer the SLX which they had no problems with. The bits need to be ordered before they can be fitted.
So here is the question, I have done a bit of research online and have come across the SRAM DUB (Durable Unifying Bottom Bracket) and am wondering why they were steering me to Shimano when the rest of the drive is SRAM.
Would I be better asking them to fit an SRAM DUB bottom bracket and an NX or even GX Eagle DUB Crankset to keep everything SRAM rather than half SRAM and half Shimano?
Many thanks

Hi, my first post as this came up when I googled Voodoo Bizango failed bottom bracket. Had mine since the end of September, done about 350 miles on it. My bottom bracket sounds the same as yours!
What was the outcome for you? Did you get the SRAM chainset and bb?
