First ride of the year……

Managed to get my first ride in this year, 2008 😉

02/01/08, 1 hour, all on the road over a measly 12.7 mile 🙄 🙄

Recovering from Festive indulgence, the Flu, and a bitterly cold wind that was right in my face today, and the fact that how wet were the roads, well at least round Stokesley way, as well as quite substantial parts of farmers fields being flooded too. Glad I hadn’t opted to go anywhere off road, it would have been a mud bath 😈 😈

Must get out on Friday now as well, but they’re now forecasting snow!!!

Rain, snow, floods, we’ve had everything here in Washington State except for high temperatures!

Right now we’re being pelted with rain.

Still, I’ve managed to get in a fair number of miles on the road bikes, but I’ve been slacking on the MTB miles. I should get out there and take a look…

Hello, Eastie, nice to hear from you 😉

I managed 20 mile on the road bike yesterday, it was pelting down with rain with quite a strong wind and very cold but I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

It was also nice to have passed at least 8 other cyclists at differing points also braving the cold weather, and having a good time, all smiling.

I find nothing more dis-heartening than passing cyclists especially in the Summer who are thoroughly miserable and will not return a smile and a nod, or a chirpy wave, miserable buggers all of them 🙄 🙄
