    Hi all,

so about 4 years ago i got my first cube road bike and i use the size guide like an idiot. i am 189cm so ended up with a 55cm frame.

the bike is massive and not nice to ride, i changed the stem length and moved the saddle about to make the bike usable, but now i am getting a new bike i am getting a smaller frame but how much smaller is too small.

i think i should have got a 50cm the first time round but now i have got used to an adjusted 55cm frame would going down to a 52cm frame to a better choice.

i have read many a review saying its easier to make a small bike feel big, and you should buy a size too small, that would put me on the 50cm

I am 183cm and ride 58cm frame road bikes. I would be okay riding a 56cm but just feel more comfortable with the space a 58cm offers me. No way could I go down to a 52cm or a 50cm.

I have Scott, Boardman, Cannondale and a Defy road bike, all at 58cm.

Having read this I have just gone and looked at my bike and seen it’s a 60cm…

So I would be looking at a 55/56cm bike.

That was a close one haha would have been good riding a 50cm.

The problem I have is long legs and short body. I was told to find a woman’s bike as they have a shorter head tube. What I was thinking is get a smaller bike I can always chance the seat post and stem to make it feel bigger but its hard to make a big bike feel smaller.
