Hello there, is it normal for the chain to rub this when in gear and peddling? When the chain goes around I can hear it touching the derailleur. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Also, what lube/grease should I buy for maintenance and servicing? If I should have different ones for different things please recommend each and specify what it is good for in particular.

you can usually fine tune chain rub out but some set up will rub in extreme gear positions I.E big front cog and big rear which should be avoided as should small front cog and small rear etc ..

oil use a chain lube either wet lube or dry lube depending on what you do and where you ride..

have a look at this and see if you can figure out what you need to do..

    enjoy
