Can anyone advise me on how to adjust my brake pads so they sit closer to the disc without using the ‘reach’ grub screw on the hand lever?

They are Promax Q3 hydraulic brakes on a Mongoose super tyax.

    No idea on that brake.

Have the pads worn to an extent that you need to top the resevoir up with fluid or have you lost fluid?

You shouldn’t need to top it up but you never know.

The other thing to do is put some new ones in if they are well worn and see if they work fine.

Most hydraulic disc brakes are self adjusting.

NO its only a few months old without heavy use.

The rear is tighter than the front, there is less of a pull on the lever.

Just thought there would be a way to calibrate them?
