Help me please, fixing my old saracen
-
Hi, just need a little help from someone. i am fixing up my old saracen xile thats been gathering dust for 4 years. just fitted a dmr single speed converter to the rear but the following frame washer type thing snapped whilt i was installing it…
what would you call it?
and where can i find a replacement?
Thanks

It is a mech hanger.
Ebay is a good place to start but make sure you get one that is identical as every model of bike may have a slightly different shaped one.

same thing happened to my Saracen bike 😀 just when i was riding it :D:D

As it’s being converted to single speed, wouldn’t just a washer do?

Steve is right, why do you want a bracket to hold the rear gear mech when you wont have the rear mech on the bike, file a washer to fit in place of the gear hanger so it slides over the axle and fits snugly into the frame where the hanger came from.
