help with my specialized p1

first of all sorry if this is a question asked a lot. but i’m new to the forum and just starting to get into biking again.

basically i have a specialized p1 2006 model.

basically i want to make it a bit more road friendly and easier to ride.

i know it’s a jump bike but i’d like to adapt the bike.

if anyone can help, i’m primarily thinking of fitting a gear setup as this i’m assuming will help no end on the road.

if you could point me in the direction of a guide or any products i’d appreciate it.

I really can’t answer you question, but looking at the price some models are going for on ebay, given that yours is a 2006, may you not be better selling the bike and buying something better to suit your needs, either new or secondhand.

Off the top of my head I would say it could be quite expensive converting this bike if you are wanting new parts, especially if you are wanting to change the front chainset as well as putting a cassette and derailleur on the back and the lever up front ❓
