Hi I have just joined the forum and would like some help pleases, my son want to change his Boardman mtb into a jump bike, does anyone have any recommendation for affordable 26 inch disc wheels, also is there a way of working out what discs and hydraulic brakes and What the fittings are ? Also want to use a 9 speed cassette with a 1x crank as the old 7 speed shifter needs replacing any help appreciated

I would say buy a specific frame for the job – it should be more robust than just an MTB…

At the end of the day its down to cost and keeping him safe…

Daftest thing is I do have a jump frame- rims – tyres and a few other things for sale…

this is what it looks like when its built
