I wish I’d never got rid of my Marin Eldridge Grade. 🙁

Marins of the late 80’s to mid 90’s were superb bikes in my opinion.

Picture of the refurb when completed ❓

Hi gunner, it won’t look much diferant just a bit cleaner in places. mine is a 2013-2014 Marin indian fire trail. 5 years old and suddenly a lot of the parts are obsolete and really hard to get. Ater mine they went to 10 x 2 then 11 X 1 maddening really

    I concur.

By the late 90’s Marin went a bit bat shit crazy with design.

The classic diamond was what made them so damn good ,along with excellent Tange tubing of course.

The Bear Valley and the Bear Valley SE in particular were very highly rated bikes at the time, with the SE being a very good competition bike in those days.

It wasn’t the SE unfortunately I had, great bike though.Cant remember the difference though between the two .Possibly the SE had STX componentry whilst my BV had 400LX

Stuck a Judy fork and a Smoke/Dart combo on it and not much else really.

I didn’t have to tart it up tbh everything seemed to work pretty well together.

    Some bastard stole it 🙁
