The gmbn video on YouTube give some good advice, don’t worry about picking it up fast, it will click all of a sudden.

If you aren’t sure what you are doing wrong try setting up a camera and videoing yourself.

Yeah I think I will do, I think I’ll break the stages down as I feel I’m fumbling my way through it.

Practice Pump, then position over rear wheel, then creating L shape.

Then try to merge it altogether …

I’m trying them too. I keep getting wobbly & falling off (which is weird for someone who can tightrope).

    Bunnyhops – No problem.

    Endos – No problem.

Wheelies & manuals – Problem! I used to have no issues at all lifting the front wheel up on my old 26er (that was 15 years ago though).

Commuting along a canal tow path?

The only reason I can see would be to look extremely cool in front of my Grandson 8) 8) And then to be extremely uncool as i fell off 😳 😳 😳

It’s getting better… Nearly looped out a few times but starting to put the bits together … Seems I was forgetting the push with legs

You could always pretend that you’re training for a triathlon as you launch from manual to canal, do a short swim & then run a bit. 😀

Been there done that .. 😳

As kids we used to cycle along the tow path to the scrappy, and knick stuff for making go-carts (fu*ker used shoot at us with an air rifle 😯 ) .. any who, found an old javelin in the ally scrap didn’t I 😀 .. thought .. “I’m avin that!” … bombing along going back home pleased with my booty, the bl00dy thing got a bit close to the front wheel, and ……… boom! locked the front solid instantly, OTB .. and into the mingin canal 😳

Learned a big lesson that day about the laws of physics and motion 😆

BMX track is the best place to learn. Find some nice rounded doubles and use those to lift the front wheel and place it on the downslope.

Be careful about getting addicted and learning how to manual tripples as it will become all consuming.
