    I still don’t believe you

    😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

I’ll have the scales strapped to the bike next ride 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

Knowing that you are only a few pounds heavier almost put me off my Chinese takeaway.

    Hi Chaps,

Not a bad ride considering it was only a local one.

Harry and Vince picked up Me John and Grant at the Smiths Arms carlton and we headed up to Bishopton for Johnnyrocket, after a while we knew he must have got held up so we hung a right up the back lane and headed for Sedgefield, then onto the top road heading towards Sadberdge.

It was quite a windy night and there was a bit of a headwind along this section when much to Harry and Vince’s surprise, Grant just flew past them and left harry in a state of shock! 😯 at his turn of speed.

Along past Middleton one row and the Davenport pub, then down to Aisleby, left up through Yarm and a detour along the Long Newton back road past the chromium plant, this is where it went a bit wrong as all the short cuts across the A66 have had there prioritys changed and we ended up biking down the main slip road from Teesside Airport onto the A66 for a little while which was a good cue for an absolute berating from Harry along the lines of ” Your worse than Gunner with his industrial estates and traffic lights !! 😆 😆 “

So after a short sprint down the A66 we took a left towards Bishopton past larburry Farm shop, into Bishopton and down the tiny back road to Bishopton Mill, Harry reckons he’d been down here before, but frankly I don’t believe him 😉 as he’d never noticed to two mill stones on the corners at Bishopton Mill.

At the top we hung a right and climbed the bank up from Stillington and back into Carlton and stopped by the post office for a natter.

Harry was still in shock at Grant’s speed that night and accused him of having had a “Turbo” fitted into his little pot-belly, or as Grant prefers to call it, a “Power-Bulge” 8) then an argument broke out about Grant’s weight 😆 😆 😆

    A few stats :-

37.8 miles ( 4 done warming up before we all got together )

    2hrs 05 mins riding time

    17.9 mph average

    37.5 v-max

    137 ave HR

    1780 calories burnt

Looking forward to the next one already 😀

Harry, I may have a development on this Friday, keep your eye on the board 😉
