I passed through 2000 miles for the year today. In previous years I have aimed to do 2000 miles in a year and my previous best annual mileage is 2508 from last year. I know this is probably not great for some of you mile munchers but I am very pleased with myself 🙂 .

    Roll on 3000 miles.

    Well done. 😉

I think I’ll have to sit and go thorugh my training diary and see what my total to date is……………….something for a rainy day, methinks. 😆

Only 6,583km for me up to now.

But I didn’t go out for my first ride until March 11th

4,090 miles for those luddites who refuse to go metric

Harry, do you know how far you rode on the turbo in the first two months of the year?

    4000 miles, now that’s impressive.

Steve, I was rowing as well in the early part of the year so I was probably only doing three sessions a week on the turbo. Some of them were two hours plus though giving it full beans.

I’m guessing I did the equivalent of 1,500 miles on the turbo.

I’ve decided that I’m not doing any rowing this year or next and I’m going to get serious about the cycling for a couple of years to see how it goes. I’ll be doing the world indoors rowing when I move up to the over 55s so I’ll pack the cycling in for a year to train for it. That will be very hard

The weather has a big impact on how much I do.

April was a brilliant month and I did more miles in April than I did in June because the weather in June was crap. It wasn’t much kop in May either.

I’m aiming to do 2,000km in August . . . surely the weather will be good

Well, whilst my electric was off yesterday, I took the advantage of totalling up my mileage for the year to date………………..

And the result was quite pleasing. 😀

    3,044 mile 😀

Let’s see what the rest of the year has to offer, I’d like to think 6,000 mile would be acheivable. 🙂
