So I bought this for my girlfriend, to replace a 29er I got for her that neither of us get on with.

I also had an itch for an on-one so I thought I may as well kill two birds with the one stone 😀

There are a few things I plan on doing to her, change to 1×10 gearing, swap brakes for some formula RX I have laying around, new stem as I hate this chunky hussefelt one and maybe a few other bits and pieces.

Anyway, I went out for my first ride today and she was just so much fun! It made a nice change from my full sus and reminded me a bit of my bmx days as a kid.

Can’t wait to get out again asap.

Looks nice mate. I quite like the workhorse/no thrills look of On One frames.

That stem looks abit crazeey though

    UPDATE

Went to pick up a gamut chain guide today and also managed to get some xt cranks and a 34t chainring so she’s now running 1×9. Off out for a blast now, photos soon!

Well I didn’t get very far before a link on the chain came apart, but here’s a photo of her anyway,

That’s a great looking HT – On One make brilliant HT’s, proper fun and great geom for trail riding.

I agree on the stem though – get rid!, Formula RX brakes are superb, got em on the full suss, never let me down in 3 years, never had to touch em apart from new pads.

I would have had an On One myself but as I was about to pull the trigger on a 456 I noticed the Bird Zero’s, which I ended up buying. Another fantastic HT.

Thanks treehugger, yes on-one make great bikes and at good value too! Those bird zero’s do look great though! I do need to get rid of that ugly stem haha 😆

Went out with my girlfriend today for her first ride on the on-one, although a little hungover, I think she enjoyed it!

Old thread I know guys, but that is great example of an On One.

They are fun bikes no doubt and take upgrades really well.

26 ers still rule the roost!!!

    8) 😀
