Nice, but you got any pictures of the FSR, used to be a favourite of mine years ago.

    Lovely machine. 😀

Always wanted one but was too ruddy tight to fork out for one back then.

Went in the SALE at Bikescene in Guisborough and I dillied and dallied, should I, shouldn’t I until they didn’t have my size left and there weren’t any left at Specialized distibutor. 🙄 🙄

Learn’t my lesson and now just buy a bike when it takes my fancy. 😆

Now swapped to 1X10, I need some new steel bolts as I managed to round one of the stock cheese ones…

So I was made an offer for my Ducati project that I couldn’t refuse, this left me with a nice chunk of cash. Surely the most sensible option was to buy a load of shiney bits for the bike 😉

    150mm Lyrik

Hope Pro4’s on Stans Flow MK3 rims

Easton Haven Carbon 35mm bars and a Hope AM-FR Stem

I can’t wait to get them fitted 😀

    Hell yeah!!! 😀

What forks did it come with?

    29er im guessing?

A Rockshox Revelation 140mm, it’s a decent enough fork but compared to a Pike or especially a Lyrik its very flexy and tends to get hung up on repeated bumps.

Yeah its a 29er, some stick their noses up at them, I bloody love it though.

    Crackin’ new parts !

I can only imagine how plush it’s going to feel with those forks fitted.

Love my 29’er too btw 😉

I managed to get the stumpy built up and out for a good blast today, the wheels and fork have transformed the bike. The front end feels so plush and holds its line so much better than before. The wheels, despite being a fair bit stronger than the originals are actually lighter. It accelerates much better and is noticeably better on the climbs too.

The bar and stem just make it a nicer place to be, overall I’m damn happy and it’s money well spent!
