Someone please help. When I was young I went everywhere on my muddy fox courier comp with a black and red crackled paint job. Ahh a simpler time. 20 years of marridge and self abuse has increased my waistline beyond belief.

I have taken steps to address this and now posses my GT and now cycle to work and back towing a kiddie trailer with a 3year old daily on a 14 mile round trip. For me this is a major step foward as walking to the end of the road was a rare occurance. I know this is opening up for a torent of abuse but I am past this> I AM making a difference and have got this trip down to 36ish mins each way. I cannot stress what a major atchievement this is to me and I am approching my 4th stone in weight loss. Still a long way to go but I will get there.

The problem that I have is delicate though, its fair to say that my happy sack is not as happy as once was and indeed missing skin. I feel that I have 2 choices. A: Tough it out until my gentlemans area turns into hardened leather or B: get some padded cycling shorts

I would prefer B but cannot seem to find anyone supplying 6xl 54″ that I can wear under my normal shorts, not overly suprised

If anyone can guide me I would be SOOOO greatful. If I carry on I will start revisiting the old trails that I used to love. This was until I learnt to drive and an XR3I was my downfall. Oddly if you dont excersie you put on wieght. Who would have thought.

Still this is my cry for help and I hope someone can help. Thanks, Colin.

Your best bet would be to get them from the US where larger sized cycling gear is more common, I found this ebay link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170294466419

Looking at the sizing chart you would need size 4XL

I have heard Altura make big sizes, i didnt pay much attention to how big they go but its worth giving them a call? They might be doing them in there new winter range

you’re not alone mate, got mine from tesco’s, cheap and very stretchy, but i also experimented with differen seats, downside i have 4 spare seats but upside i am very comfy in the saddle, for me i have a wtb pure V seat on one bike and a specialized BG, (body geometry) on the other, only reason i haven’t changed the specialized one is it’s so comfy, hope this helped!

I did know a chap called Gary Hooper trading as Garianne who custom-made Lycra shorts a while ago. Perhaps a web search may turn him up.
