Well i picked my bike up today from bike shop in darlington (bikesport)

new bottom bracket and new chain .

€55.00 not too bad i dont think ,

even tho he pissed me off by saying there is a few serious faults on my bike

like my seat is too far forward

also my stem is long ,

also i have wrong brake pads on the front

i certanly dont find them to be serious faults ,

if it was dangerous then that would be a different matter.

but i would say that it is up to me what and how i have my bike set up .

    decent job tho .

Is it the bike shop near a pub called The Tap and Spile?

If so, I’ve never really been impressed with them on the few occasions I’ve been in there.

I think bike set up is one of those things where there is a general rule of thumb, but personal preference has to take priority.

And you’re not exactly a “newbie” to cycling are you Grant, you’re pretty clued up?

Glad you’ve got the bike sorted at last, you’ve been missing some great rides, you would have enjoyed the one we just did last Sunday.
