Im after some new pads for my sons diamondback dirt jumper. The levers are Tektro so im assuming the calipers are also Tektro, the only markings on them say Quad. Any ideas what the pads should be? They look like these Fibrax Promax DSK700 or these Fibrax Hayes – Sole. Any help really appreciated.

Depending on the calipers though it depends what pads you can go for. I have known a few people in the past have pads from a different company and them not work. This is mainly with shimano but i have heard it happen with quads as well. What year and model Diamondback is it?

I won’t bore you with the data but Shimano pads have been the best for my shimano brakes and superstar have been poor in the wet. But if you have to pay RRP for shimano pads the superstar ones work out cheaper per mile. Currently using Ashima from Bike Scene and waiting for the winter to see how they really perform. Fine during summer as it never gets that wet.
