Sometimes don’t you just get sick of all the offers that are on in the shops. 😡

Years ago, you went into a ruddy shop, asked or saw how much the price was and that was it. You either paid it or you didn’t, sometimes you even asked if the seller would knock something off for cash, but now everything is multibuy, BOGOF, 5 for the price of 3, etc., etc., etc.

Went into Smiths the bookshop in Clevely near Blackpool the other day and they had Suggs autobiography on offer as book of the week, half price down from £20 to £10.

Wife had just bought some papers and had a receipt which offered 10% off everything starting the next day, this was Wednesday. So I thought I’d wait and get the book later.

Went into Smiths in Blackpool the next day, Thursday and Suggs was no nowhere to be seen on the “Offers” shelves……………. 😕

Checked the normal biography shelves and there it was but at normal price of £20. 😯

Went to the tillpoint and asked the guy how much it was, £15 the guy said, there was 25% off…………………. 😕 😕 😕

But yesterday, I said, there was 50% off and it was £10 as it was book of the week. 😕

The chart changes on a Thursday he said and it is no longer book of the week.

    Your week runs Thursday to Wednesay I said…………… 😕 😕 😕 😕

Needless to say I left it. 🙄

Yesterday the wife comes home after popping to Tesco, look what i got you she said, and promptly drops the Suggs book onto the worktop, with a big fat £7 sticker on the front of it. 😛

I now know why the only stuff I buy is bikes, and from Westbrooks, it’s all just so simple…………………. 😉

Agree with all of the above 😉 TBH, the same goes for a lot of the on line bike suppliers. It does my head in jumping from site to site to see who does the best deal, then you order and see that you’ve missed a discount code or voucher, then after a week of waiting you get a call saying the product’s not in stock, and so on ………! 🙄

I think I’m going to pop into a LBS and arrange that if I buy all my stuff from them, they price match. Simples 🙂
