what rims and hubs do you recomend for freeride/trails. hubs have to be disc.

budget for hubs are say £150

    budget for rims are £100

for the front hub i was maybe thinking the halo spin doctor QR disc hub. would you say this would be ideal for the front from experience?

You’d be better off with something that will convert to 15/20mm thru axle if your not already using it for that sort of riding as most forks now will come with a axle rather than a QR and it’s a good thing too.

No idea if the Halo is convertible.

I always go shimano but they don’t convert either.

Mavic 321 Rims, my mates had them on his bikes for years, including a Demo 9 DH bike which has survived Inners and Ft William and the rest.

I just made the switch over recently after bending one of my (more expensive) DT Swiss rims doing a drop off.

No need to spend a fortune.
