Hi all, I’m just starting to get back into mountain bike riding after a forced break of about a year.
I want to upgrade my forks from the standard Manitou Axel Elite 80 that came with my bike (Trek 6500- 2006 model) which are extemely soft and mushy!, especially given that I weigh close to 100kg.
I have seen the ‘Rockshox Tora Race Solo Air 100mm Forks – 2009 – PopLoc’ down to £185 from £300 odd which seems like a bit of a steal! But I can’t find any reviews for them.
Does anyone know if these forks are any good for this price? Or any other suggestions given my above average weight?
My budget is £200, and I don’t ride huge jumps or anything too aggressive.
