Hi everyone, new to the forum. Just acquired a kona stuff off of a friend. Unfortunatly the past week it had seen some rain and on most of the bolt, torx, and allen key studs theres some rust.

Just wondering if theres any tricks on how to clean these up, especially getting into the groves properly.

I find that if it’s just a light coating of surface rust then a generous spray of WD40 or GT85 and a good polish with a rag can often be enough.

If it’s a bit deeper ingrained you could try something like Autosol chrome polish, either applied with a toothbrush and buffed of with a rag or just remove the bolt and clean it and replace.

I generally like to cover some of the bikes shiny bits with a light coating of machine oil which helps protect them from rusting in the first place in many instances.
