What about across to and up the Unsuitables, across the Moor on the Cleveland way to the back of the forest and then over the moor to Commondale and onto Danby offroad, then back to Gibber via the Quakers Causeway.

    Just a suggestion, I’m easy 😀

Good ride, lads, cheers. Nice pace too 😉

Thanks for letting me try the Scott out Darren, you don’t know how helpful that was. 😉

I hope you two will be able to get up Clay Bank sometime and try the run over Cold Moor, it’s somewhere different 😀

    Me, Darren and JohnC.

It was a good ride, we went up through the woods, up the Unsuitables and followed the Cleveland Way across to the Tees Link gate then down to Sleddale. Climbed out of Sleddale then dropped down through the trees to Lonsdale, climbed up towards Capt Cooks but tuned off on Coates Moor for some muddy downhill before arriving at Gribdale Gate. From here it was climb back up onto the moor heading for Newton Moor then back into the woods. A very fast blast down the Unsuitables and then it was a cracking pace back to the cars at the V.C.

Just the right amount of mud on the singletrack bits to keep things interesting 😀 😀

Definetely a route to do again ❗

Darren was on his new Scott Spark, a 30 or 60, I forgot which, very, very nice but a Medium and I didn’t feel right on it, it looked much bigger than it felt.

Well, he said he was 5′ 10″, he’s obviously got a faulty tape measure 😆 😆

I’d have thought, after having being in Westbrooks this afternoon he’d have been better off with a large.

I’m 6’1″ and found the Medium far too cramped, and I couldn’t believe that Darren was that much smaller than me 😯
