Bugger! You take a few days off to get over flu – and your bike goes and seizes up!

Has anyone serviced a rear hub before? I’m hoping its not a major ball-ache to do????

Never opened one of them up but it carnt be that hard……but after saying that the trek has carbon inserts in the hub so the LBS will be doing them 😉

Im in Darlo 2morro morning if you get stuck.

Yes, thanks. I downloaded the instructions from DT Swiss too – but the Parktool one looks simpler.

Just not looking forward to that moment when everything pings apart and springs go shooting off into the four corners of the garage 😯 😯 Still, its the only bit on a bike that I’ve never serviced, so might just give it whirl…..

Tried to split the hub – gave up and took it over to Bikescene. Rich fixed it while I waited and did a cracking job – sorted 8) 8) (and only £27 lighter in the pockets 😯 )
