Hey guys whoever has seen my little project thread for rebuilding my old bike may have seen this picture

The disc when located in the caliper makes the hub cones foul on the side of the shock so I need to space the caliper out towards the wheel.

I was just wondering if anybody else has had to do this before? Are there dedicated spacers out there for the job or can you just pack it out with washers or something providing you still have enough length on the bolts?

If it’s of any need I’m unsure of the model but I think the brakes are shimano and are cable

If you need to move the caliper towards the wheel just loosen off the bolt that’s visible in the pic, there should be another below that one, and retighten whilst pulling the lever with the wheel in place.

Well adjusted those bolts and slipped the caliper inwards and its enough to seat the disc into place although it rubs against the one pad so still needs spacing a bit. Gonna use a washer on each bolt and it should make it bang on then 😀
