    Hi all,

I have a Specialized Hard Rock Pro and the Marzochi Forks on it screech, I assume they need a service and something replacing.

I went along to my local Marzochi place and he said he would have to send them off to marzochi which I don’t fancy doing. I’m Pretty handy and have striped and rebuilt 2 sets of Motorcycle forks. I asked him where I could get a manual/replacement parts but still insisted I would not be able to do it myself. Considereding I have rebuilt forks designed to be used with a much heavier object going much faster speeds I cannot see any reason I can’t do these.

I assume there is oil in these forks anyone know the weight of it or where I can find out, also what could cause the screeching I was thinking a bush or something that has collasped. The forks seem to perfom fine they just make this god aweful noise.

    Cheers

    Chris

    Hi Chris

Depending on the fork, some will have Oil damping, some Oil and Air and i think some just Air.

You can download the manuals and info from here.

    http://www.marzocchi.com/spa/mtb/

Most “good” MTB bike shops will have someone who can service forks.

    Hope this helps.
