Just in case you haven’t been listening, I’ve treat myself to a new ruddy bike. 😯

It’s one I’ve been watching for a while and just a few days ago, Westbrooks desided to reduce the SALE price of it even further making it an absolute steal, then considering the accessories I got with it at no extra price I felt like Dick RUDDY Turpin. 😆 😆

It’s a Cannondale Supersix Evo with an Ultegra groupset, and is 11 speed.

I know some of you will say I already have a Supersix Evo, which is true ut there are a few subtle differences which really do make all the difference.

Took it out yesterday for the first time and had a really fast blast around the local lanes, what a ruddy bike.

Went out again this morning to see how it handled long distances, wow. 😉

Out in thick fog, so bad that I felt it necessary to fit a rear LED, and made my way over to Richmond, the fog keeping temperatures way down on what we’ve been used to.

Carried on round to Leyburn then down to Bedale, the fog not letting up, nor the temperature rising, from here I pushed on to Northallerton where every traffic light in the town was agianst me, and there are plenty of them.

Up through Brompton, and a misty run over to Rountons and Rudby where I had a nice ding/ding with another rider as we sped along Middleton Road,

Home through Maltby and glad of it, seemed now to be the coldest part of the morning .

Had intended to stop at some scenic locale and take pictures of the bike but it was gar too foggy.

So here we go from home!!

Anyway, Gran Fondo in the bag for October, 77 mile.

    😀

Lovely bike Gunner ! How do you find it compared to your addict ? I’m looking to get a new bike for spring and these two (along with the Scott foil) are on my radar.

Lovely, is that a 60cm? And if so, how tall are you? Just wondering if a 60cm would fit me at 6ft 5 as there are still a few 60cm ones left in various stores.

Rigga, at your height Id suggest 62cm-ish, depending on whether you get your height with long upper or long lower body,

Saddle height is easily adjustable if you’re long legged but long torso/arms may be more of an issue. I myself am only 6ft but have monkey arms and long torso so although my 57/58cm frames are fine for saddle height I have to use 130/135mm stems.

58 cm this one and I’m six foot and a half inch. 😉

It’s a superb ride, unbelievably comfortable, very, very fast and the groupset is faultless.

However, if it was a toss up between it and the Addict I’m afraid I’d have to plump for the Addict, the Addict is the Spitfire of the bike world and begs for rider input.

I was looking at the new Foil in Westbrooks, they have a demo model in there and what a cracking bike it looks, 2 of my mates have the earlier model and love them to bits, one also has an Addict and seems to prefer the Foil to the Addict.

Yeah my current cube peleton is a 64cm but measures up more like a 62cm so the 60cm Cannondale would maybe be a bit on the small side.

Looks a cracking bike gunner, love the ‘dale green.

    I’m 6 4″ and ride a 60 supersix, feels perfect.

Cheers for info Gunner, appreciated. I had a go on a older Addict a couple of months back and was astonished on how good it was compared to my alu sensa. So responsive and quick, you just stamped on the peddles and it shot forward! Do you go into Westbrooks often ? I was wondering if they were going to do those storming Scott frame set deals they’ve had for the last couple of years.
