    I’m pretty sure my 56mph from last year won’t be under threat this year unless we get a really nice stretch of smooth tarmac and no bends

    Yeah, there’s some fast descents on that route aint there. That long run up to the Whitby road from Commondale (A171?), I managed 45.6mph ! No wind. My legs just couldnt spin any faster. Its the odd time like that I wouldnt mind that extra few teeth on the big ring 8)
