Anyone fancy a riding during the day on the moors? Perhaps the southern end, around Chop Gate/Rosedale/Hutton-le-hole?

    Matt.

Damn, would have loved it, weather looks like it’s going to be good as well and there’s some great trails around there.

However, I’ve already got a road ride planned with plenty of climbing over towards Castleton and Westerdale, on Thursday evening.

no worries Gunner, could be abit muddy! 😛

Thinking of doing a loop starting at Chop Gate up and round to Cockakyne, up onto Rudland Ridge, head north to Bloworth crossing, along Battersby moor, down Ingleby Bank, up the Incline, down Carr Ridge, then past the Wain Stones and down into Chop Gate from Cold Moor. (Hopefully!)

    I ruddy well hope so.

The Cockayne, Rudland loop is one of my favourites, and the descent from above the Wainstones down into Chop Gate is good too, though it wil be interesting to see how the rain has affected it.

I don’t think it will be too muddy, I was on the moors above Guisborough yesterday and it’s amazing how quickly it’s drying out.

    Enjoy yourself. 😉
