i’ve got an old Trek 930 which I’m using on road and a bit of light off road just now. It has rigid front forks however I was thinking of upgrading to V brakes, is this possible? 😯

Yeah, the forks will need cantilever bosses though, if it hasn’t got them you can get some that clamp on. I can’t remember where I saw them though, sorry.

I presume by your question that you are running standard cantilever brakes on the Trek and want to upgrade to “V” or modular pull brakes.

As far as I understand you should have no problem doing this whatsoever, provided you have not added anything to the bike that may obstruct the different shape of the brake arm, such as a rear rack, or mudgaurds, etc.
