Just need to get this off my chest………………… this weather is doing my head in. I looked in my training diary earlier tonight and it is two weeks since I was last out on the road. I then decided to have a look at the weather forecast for the next 5 days ……………………… more snow on Wednesday and eff all chance of the snow melting before the coming weekend. Looks like it will be more turbo sessions. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I feel your pain. It really is a bummer.

I’ve just done another monster session on the turbo and it almost killed me

I’ve been off work on holiday since 18th Dec too. Bet the snow melts as soon as I get back to work in the New Year.

Oh and MrsHugo15 has had a right grump on today as she had hoped to go running, but the paths round Ingleby are terrible. At least I think she is beginning to understand my pain when I don’t get out on the bike 🙂 .

It certainly is most frustrating. 🙄 🙄

It has even stopped me from getting out on the MTB as I fear that trails will be just glacial if it’s anything like the road outside my front door.

I’m commuting in to work in the morning at 0400hrs, it’s -4 out there at the moment so God knows what the roads are going to be like.

I’d like to think that I’ll be able to do a long ride home but I daren’t think what the roads may be like if I head out to Seamer/Newby 😕 😕

    🙄 🙄

Not sure if you are brave or mad 😉 .

I think “mad” if I go for the longer ride home option………….. 😯

At least at 0400hrs there is no traffic on the road and I can ride where I want to get traction.

Me too,i had hoped to get out on the MTB but theres been no chance of that.I had also hoped to get a few miles of running in aswell but with the conditions underfoot its impossible,it was all i could manage to stay upright whilst walking round for a paper early yesterday morning.Ooh and to top things off the snow etc has damaged the water supply to the gym and there are no showers working there at the moment 😥

The weather is variable down here.

Varies between rain, showers, blizzards, ice, snow and slush. 🙁

Cold, and there is still a good quantity of ice on the roads and paths, especialy the paths, where I am, but now there is a fiercely strong wind to contend with.

Had planned a jaunt on the MTB but to be honest I don’t think I can be arsed given the conditions and shall just rest ’til 2010 arrives. 😛

The weather is certainly a pain. We bought our son a new mtb for chrimbo and he hasn’t been out yet. Hope it all melts before school starts so we can get back on road again!

Well all the snow and ice has gone from around here… but as it’s been raining for the past three days.. all the fields are still frozen so all that water is just running off onto all the lanes around near me and flooding every where….fun in my 4×4 but useless to anything else but a duck…. 😕 😕

So I’m doing as Gunner is…. prepping myself for 2010 and the first ride of the new year….

Who will be the first on here to post up there ride….(and cycling back from the pub don’t count…. 😕 🙄 🙄 )
