Well, what a totally awesome day. 😀 😀

I hope at least part of it was spent either out on your bikes or at least buying bling bits to put on your bike.

My day consisted of both. 😀

Set off at 0900 for a brisk ride to Helmsley, not a cloud in the sky but there was a stiffish breeze blowing out of nowhere in particular that was right in my face.

Through Seamer, Stokesley, up to Kirby then climbed Clay Bank for a fast descent to and through Chop Gate.

Did I metion I was on the Scott 😀 😀

Then it was battling the stiff headwind all the way to Helmsley, wasn’t really bothered by it as the weather was just so nice.

Stopped in the town sqaure for quick breather then it was back on the bike and climb out of the town the way I had came, this the time the wind was at my back and I was going strong.

    IN THE MARKET SQUARE:

    LOOKING ACROSS FROM NEWGATE BANK:

With the breeze now behind me it wasn’t long before I was in Chop Gate, and I turned left on the Raisdale road to cross to Carlton Bank.

Breif stop at the top of Carlton Bank for some photos then it was a fast descent and a quick pace to Hutton Rudby, where I turned off for Hilton and then home to Stainton.

    VIEWS FROM CARLTON BANK:

Lovely ride with some nice little climbs thrown in.

    56 mile

    3 hours 11 minutes

    17.5 mph.

    😀 😀

Good speed Gunner and good distance. For a moment I thought you’d done more miles than me but you fell a few short. Mind, I’d have got the bike out now and gone for a spin if needs be 😆 😆 😆 😆
