On the outside of the pedal on the right hand side, driving the chain, what is the plastic ring on the outside of the last reel. So if you have 3 cogs on the front it is on the outside of the third cog. Is it called the bash ring? as i need a replacement but unsure of what the part is called, thanks in advance

    If it’s “PLASTIC”, I wouldn’t have thought it’s a “bash ring”.

More like a relatively inexpensive chainset with a trouser protector to stop your “duds” getting caught on the teeth of the outer chainring.
