    Any members doing this?

I was thinking about making this my first Sportive.

Short Ride = 37 miles for me 😀

I’ve ridden the route before. Considering it’s Yorkshire, it’s very flat aside from a couple of big climbs on the long one. Short one should be a doddle. Ideal for your first.

    That confuses things a bit.

I’d enjoy the short route, but I’ve done it all before.

Never rode up Clay Bank though, but if I can get up Carlton Bank on the mtb, then I would hope to try it on the roadie (road bike has much higher gearing)

Just hoping I can shake this cold off in time 🙁

If i’m well I will defo try one, thing is, the shorts look a bit easy but the mediums are a good step up from my 30-40 mile weekly long ride

    errrr no 😆

No way I could do Carlton Bank on the road bike (34×25) my mtb has 22×34 and I nearly died doing it 😆 I’m sure I could do it now on a 22×32, but there’s no way I want to push the road bike up.

Excellent Event and as you rightly say, very well organised with good support.

I should have been doing it but now have to work. 😡 😡

Tony, one of our Consultants has signed up for one of the Wiggle events this year

I’m sure he said the one starting at Thirsk, & the ‘100’

Unless he’s riding more than he’s telling me, he’ll suffer 😆

(as he lives on/rides around the ‘flat-lands’ between Leeds & Selby)
