Logged off at 5pm yesterday to go and collect Mark and make our way to Yarm. All the way there, waited until 10 past. Not one of you lightweigths turned up ! 🙁

Quick call to Colin clarified that everyone had cancelled, due to these horrendous blizzards, tornados etc 😆 and we were on our way. I must admit, I was a bit sceptical about the weather, but in our favour the weather was fine! There was the odd very light shower, thats it. Judging by the roads heading up to Worsall, the rain had already been, quite flooded areas. But within a few minutes the waterproofs we’re off, and no more rain at all, and the roads soon dried out 🙂

We didn’t bother sticking to any particular route, just had a nice 1hr 30 minute ride, generally headed towards Darlo. Some country lanes etc.

Nice 18.5 mph average, which was good considering we set off very slow through the flooded patches.

Well, thats 2 rides in a row you lightweights have let us down 😆 , please try and let us know a bit earlier next time, say around 4:45 ❓ , just so we don’t go out of our way. 🙂

Greg more or-less had to drag me along for the ride 😆 However i was glad he did as the ride was good!

expect for the patchy showers for first 10 minutes, the conditions were perfect as the temps were just right for good blast!

Shame none of you guys turned up for it… hope to see you’s on future rides 🙄

Alright, Alright, …you’ve made us all feel truly ashamed Greg 😳 😳

When I got home it was truly honking down, I didn’t think for one minute anybody would be daft enough to turn up ( I was obviously wrong in your case Greg 😉 ) then I saw all the messages on the board and thought, that’s it, cancelled.

In my defence…..errrr…….I’m old and I smell of Wee! 😆 😆

My jaunt around Swinley Forest last night ended with a 18-mile ride home in hard rain with lightning. 🙁

Erm why not take the bike to Swinley in the back of the car? 😉

I would have been there Greg, except for the fact that my power at home went off at 0700hrs yesterday morning and didn’t come back on until 0030 this morning, so as well as having all sorts of domestic problems, ie., freezer, fridge, tropical fish, alarm, etc., I also had no internet access. 😯

So not only was I not able to ride, I also had no access to the site and was forced to enjoy my wifes company for the evening………. 😛 😛

Well, I’ve been out for a 40 minute (mainly off-road) run in all that rain & big-puddles.

    Daft??, yes!

However, I needed to try the new fell/trail-running shoes I bought this afternoon 😀

Yes, as you can tell, it’s back on, as for my fish, luckily it’s a 4ft tank and it’s July so the temperature was slow to fall, plus my fish are extremely large so they are quite hardy, though I am quite attatched to them as I have had them a long time.
